Kelly Folwick
Kelly grew up dancing competitively in Chanhassen, Minnesota and was part of a pre-professional ballet company that fostered her love for dance. Kelly then went on to train in the University of Minnesota Dance Program and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. She recently went back to school to become a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to help dancers stay injury free and train effectively. While in college, Kelly had the opportunity to perform through the UMN Dance Program in works by NYC based visiting artist, Gregory Dolbashian, and local artist, Penelope Freeh. She continued her training through various dance companies in the Twin Cities and also spent three months in New York City dancing in Broadway Dance Center’s training program with a focus on contemporary where she was mentored by Ellenore Scott and Ginger Cox. Kelly has been sharing her passion for dance and science as a member of the Minnesota Dance Medicine Foundation (MDMF) since 2015. Through MDMF she helps bring the best practices for healthy dancing to the dance community. At PSOD Kelly serves the community as an Instructor, Social Media and Marketing Manager, and Assistant Director for the Performing Arts Christmas Show, Noel. Kelly is very excited for her 9th year with PSOD and loves to share her passion and support for her students!
