Adult Classes

 Our adult classes are designed for everyone’s enjoyment; no experience is necessary!  Adult participants range from the “curious dance parent” to the adult who danced through most of their youth.
Looking to try something new to improve the well-being of your body, mind and spirit? You are welcome too!


Ballet

Ballet is an architect for the dancer’s body to become strong, balanced and flexible for all dance disciplines. We teach our adults a traditional ballet class beginning at the ballet barre, moving to center floor, across the floor, and ending with a reverence – all to classical music. Ballet teaches discipline and musicality while creating agility and grace of movement.

Pilates

No experience required. Through low-impact exercise with emphasis on core strength and proper form, each workout provides the information and guidance to practice the skills of coordination, strength, endurance, balance, and integration, and the opportunity to try new challenges every time. Pilates is useful for any age or occupation, and this class allows participants to connect with and strengthen their own bodily knowledge and to cultivate healthy, happy, and whole selves.

Our Intermediate Tap Class is a wonderful addition (immediately following) Adult Ballet on Mondays or it can be taken independently.
We also offer a Beginning Tap Class on Wednesdays for those newer to tap dance!
Students will have a ball learning the fundamentals of tap including: shuffles, time steps and flaps! We’ll warm up with stretching, isolations, and strengthening exercises and incorporate combinations that are usually fast-paced, rhythmically-based and danced to traditional jazz or uplifting popular music. (In other words, we have a lot of fun!)
Please bring a water bottle to class.
